Nylon 6/6 / Natural |
General purpose nylon 6/6 is suitable for use in most practical applications. Continuous temperature ranges up to 150°F. Nylon 6/6 is the most commonly used grade for cable tie production. Meets UL 94V-2 flammability rating. Working temperature range is from 40°F. to 185°F. |
||||||||||||
|
Nylon 6/6 / Black UV Stabilized |
UV Stabilized nylon 6/6 is used in continuous or constant exposure in outdoor use. This nylon cable tie is a weather resistant grade and enabling it to endure additional ultraviolet (UV) light. Stabilizers are incorporated in the nylon resin upon production. Only available in black. |

|
Nylon 6/6 / Black UV Stabilized / Heat Stabilized |
UV / Heat Stabilized nylon 6/6 is used in continuous or constant exposure in high temperatures up to 250°F. General purpose nylon 6/6 will have a reduction in physical properties and fatigue as a result of high temperatures. Nylon cable ties that are specially formulated with heat stabilizers provide additional thermal endurance protection. Heat stabilized nylons are engineered for continuous exposure to temperatures ranging above 185°F. This nylon meets UL standards for electrical applications. Only available in black. |

| HalarŪ |
HalarŪ performs similarly to TefzelŪ. It's primary characteristic is lower smoke density when burned. HalarŪ is very desirable in areas where smoke generation is a concern, especially when bundling wire in plenum spaces. |
||||||||||||
| TefzelŪ |
TefzelŪ is weaker than general purpose nylon 6/6 (about 37%). Tefzel is resistant to a wide range of chemicals including sulfuric acids and concentrated hydrofluoric acids. It is also a low water-absorbing material which has a minimal affect with moisture. Tefzel is radiation resistant up to 100 megarads and meets IEEE requirement 333. This material can also withstand high temperatures, ultraviolet light exposure, and meets UL flammability requirement 94V-0. |
